GETSA: Guru Gobind Singh Polytechnic Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Student Association

The Students Association is dedicated to the growth and continuance of student services and cultural enrichment on campus.

Objectives:

  1. Create, organize, promote and enrich the social, cultural, recreational, educational programs, services and environment for students.
  2. Develop a sense of community among students and other groups within the College.
  3. To represent the interests of its members and act as a channel of communication in dealing with the college
  4. To promote, encourage and co-ordinate student clubs, societies, sports and social activities
  5. To provide a mechanism for relationship with other Student Associations

 

The Students Association Executive consists of democratically elected Directors. The President and Treasurer are elected in June and the members are selected by them. The Executive is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Association. To ensure that the rights and the interests of its members are being protected, the Executive members provide strong, effective representation for students wherever decisions impacting students as a whole are made.

All important Association issues are discussed and democratically decided at Executive Committee meetings, which are open to all members. Students are encouraged to attend and participate in these and other decision-making meetings organized by the Association.
