About Research and Development Cell

Guru Gobind Singh Polytechnic (GGSP) always strives for the excellence of students by promoting research as a co-curricular activity that nurtures a research-oriented mindset and enhances students’ analytical and thinking capabilities. The institute encourages technology- and market-research-driven innovations and supports multidisciplinary and translational research initiatives. GGSP actively guides and motivates students to pursue patents for their research outcomes through Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). The institute fosters students’
thought processes by deepening the scope and broadening the perspective of their research through interdisciplinary discussions and collaborative learning. The IPR Cell plays a vital role in encouraging and assisting students in filing patents.To achieve these objectives, GGSP provides all necessary research resources to its stakeholders as well as external (off-campus) stakeholders. In line with this vision, theinstitute has established a Research & Development (R&D) Cell.This initiative is aligned with the guidelines of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and the AICTE–Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) framework for fostering a strong research and innovation culture in higher education. The R&D Cell serves as a
structured platform to support and strengthen the above-mentioned activities, which have been consistently practiced by the institute over the years.
